D'Italiane Kitchen, Paradigm Mall - Definitely In The Top 5 Italian place in KL

Perfect for a romantic Italian dinner for two, or a big family gathering dinner.

Taste: 7.5/10
Service: 8.5/10
Value for money: 7.5/10

Pizza is one of the most famous dish in the world. With too many chains and franchises, adapting to local taste and styles, it might be a little complicated to rate pizza places.

We recently went to D'Italiane restaurant, at Paradigm Mall. Target: Taste of a Good Pizza.

Something special we found in the menu: A Sentiment

Checkout the menu

Syabil: The scene at the restaurant was calm, serene, relaxed and a bit homie. The waiters were friendly and helpful.

We had a D'Italiane pizza, with extra Mozarella and Pepperoni. The pizza is topped with creamy tomato base, chicken sausage, beef bacon, bell pepper, mushroom slices and basil.

It was good, almost excellent. Ingredients are fresh, and all the flavors are layered in the right order. I must say, it is one of the best in KL. Better than pizza at  The Italiannies restaurant (now a chain).

However, it lacks originality. It lacks the Italian craft element.

I am a huge fan of Italian cuisine. Nina and I have been around KL, hunting for good pizza place. And we concluded that ICook Italian Gastronomia (Jln Duta) is the best pizza place in KL. However, we will not make a full review of this place.

If it is not for the pizza at ICook Italian Gastronomia, D'Italiane possibly would be crowned king.

The D'Italiane Pizza. It's worth trying. If only the chili flakes has more flavor, or they prepare chili oil, it would be better.

The latte. Lacks depth & character.

Enough about pizza. A visit to an Italian restaurant would not be complete without drinking the coffee.

I tried the latte. It was good, smooth and executed perfectly. However, the barista must have used a less bold beans. The latte lacks depth, and has weak character.

Raspberry Mascarpone Crepe - Rich & Delighful

Nina: I loved the pizza. Hehe. For dessert, we had the Mascarpone Raspberry Crepe. It is made from Galbani Mascarpone with raisin and lemon rind, blanketed in crepe. It is served with raspberry compote.

This dessert is great. The mascarpone is soft, creamy and rich. The raisins in the mascarpone gave a textural difference, and raspberry compote enhances the sour notes of the whole dish.

In essence, this restaurant needs to mature a bit more. It has potential.

We left the restaurant feeling hopeful and optimistic.

Just showing some more items on the menu, since we did not order much.
